Additional Support at Vaccination Sites

Over the upcoming weeks, Wellbeing Coordinators are helping at vaccination sites to offer additional support and showcasing the Wellbeing Service.

Yesterday, Philippa Dove, our Wellbeing Coordinator for Cheshire South was at City Walls vaccination site.

"Hello, my name is Philippa and I have been a Wellbeing Coordinator at the Chester South PCN for 4.5 years. I love my job, meeting with people and supporting them through difficult points in their lives, helping to empower people and to be a friendly, listening ear over the phone and when normality ensues, in person at the Practice.

I am fortunate that one of my Practices is working as a Vaccination Hub for all patients within the Chester South PCN. I spent the time working at the Surgery and showcasing the Wellbeing Service with those that perhaps hadn't come across the service before, explaining what my role was and encouraging those patient's that need a bit of help and advice to contact the Surgery to book an appointment to speak with me. I worked alongside my colleague Kate Mooney, Social Prescribing Link Worker for the Chester South PCN. Between us, I strongly believe that we are a driving force, working collaboratively to improve the lives of our local community members.

Together with my colleague there are plans to be present at the Surgery in the Spring for another vaccination drive day, showcasing the Primary Care Cheshire Wellbeing Service and the great work that can be achieved by taking a person-centred approach to improving people's wellbeing."
